Touchdown to your hotel

  • Grab / inDrive straight to the hotel (about 45 to 60 min): the easy option. Budget about RM10 for the toll on top, which is also reimbursed.
  • Landing at evening rush (4:30–7:30 PM)? Beat the jams: KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral (28 min, RM55) then a short Grab (RM10–15).
  • Check-in from 3:00 PM. Settle in, explore, rest. No agenda Sunday, but be fresh for the Monday kickoff. 💪
KL Airport to Perdana KLCC Hotel: transfer cap

The easiest way is an inDrive or Grab straight to the hotel. The company reimburses, per car:
  • One-way: up to RM75 + RM10 toll
  • Round trip (the ride there plus the ride back): up to RM150 + RM20 toll
Keep your receipt for reimbursement.

Not keen on ride-hailing apps? You can take the KLIA Ekspres train to KL Sentral (28 min, RM55) and a short taxi from there, or take an airport taxi from the official counter. These are reimbursed the same way, up to the cap.

Please check the Flight Tracker so you can carpool with teammates landing around the same time. With 4 people in one car, it comes to about RM21 each per trip.

Pack smart

What to bring

Everything you'll want for a week of work, play and a certain Wednesday afternoon. 👀

💻 The essentials

  • Passport (+ MDAC screenshot)
  • Laptop and charger (we'll be brainstorming)
  • Power bank plus a UK-style Type G adapter (Malaysia's plug)
  • Any meds you need, plus sunscreen

👕 The wardrobe

  • Portcast polo / blue shirt. First time at the offsite (joined after Oct 2025)? You’ll get yours onsite 🎁
  • Smart casual for all sessions
  • Something nice for our three dinners (Mon–Wed)
  • Comfy walking shoes and something comfortable for Wednesday afternoon 👟. Trust us on this one 😉
  • Umbrella / light raincoat (September showers)
  • Swimwear / gym & sports kit if you’d like to use the hotel’s pool, gym & courts in your free time 🏊🎾 (totally optional)

Come ready

The offsite mindset

  • This is a working strategy offsite, focused on alignment and action: product direction, GTM (sales and marketing) and culture.
  • Mon to Wed are 3 full working days with early starts. Sunday is travel and settle-in; Thursday is departure (BAU unless you took leave).
  • Bring your energy, curiosity and first-principles thinking. Question the defaults, ask the big “why”, and build on each other's ideas. This is the week the whole company is together in person; make it count.
  • Evenings are for the team: dinners Mon, Tue and Wed. And Wednesday afternoon? Let's just say, wear the comfy shoes. 🏁
